Dear Future Husband,
I just want you to know how much I am looking forward to meeting you. I tried to fill the spot meant for you by dating “Christian guys” instead of Godly men; instead of you.
I want you to know that I’ve made mistakes. I’m not perfect. But today, I’ve decided that I’m not going to waste my time dating for the heck of it. I’m only going to be in a relationship with the intention of marrying.
I also have decided that I am really going to put The Lord first in my life. I know He’ll be first in yours, because I’ll need a man who can lead me to want to be a better person in Christ Jesus.
We’re going to have loads of fun, too!! We can go to concerts and amusement parks and take lots of pictures together. But I want the most fun things for us to do are going and worshiping God together. We’ll pray and do Bible studies together. We’ll go crazy and share God’s love with people. We’ll encourage each other to be stronger followers of Christ.
Now, I know things won’t always be perfect. We might fight or disagree on things and that’s okay. But I will be comfortable enough around you to humble myself to apologize and admit when I am wrong, and hopefully you will do the same!!
But above a lot of things, wait for me. I pray that the temptations you face will be minimum. I pray that they will be no match for you and the faith you have in Jesus. I pray that you are strong enough to resist the things that this world says are okay to do when the Holy Spirit says they aren’t.
I pray that you will be loving, caring, kind, protective. I pray that you are a good listener AND talker. I pray that you are ready to have water balloon fights on hot days and cuddle by the fireplace with hot coco on cold days. I pray that you will set a Godly example for, not only myself, but our family. I pray that our children will want to come to know Christ through our influence and the influences they face at Church. I pray that you are funny and goofy and love to have fun.
I can’t wait to meet you. I bet it’s gonna be great!! :)
